In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?

To the left is a collage made up of parts of my magazine. And to the right is acollage made up parts of various issues of kerrang! I have done this so i can compare my magazine ideas, with a real magazine.

At the top of both collages are the mastheads. These serve to give the magazine its main identity, let readers know what the magazine is, as well as give an idea of what feel the magazine has, using the title of the magazine, aswell as the font, to show different feelings. My masthead is broken up font, which looks like it is slowly falling down, this gives a feeling on unstability. The kerrang masthead looks as if it has been hit by a bullet, giving a very impacting feel.

At the bottom of both collages is a peice from the bottom of the magazines front covers, both these parts are designed to give information on what is included in in the magazine. Both have very similar feels to them.

There are serveral live/studio photo's on my collage, and a few live shots on the kerrang collage. The photos on the kerrang collage have an angry live vibe, than mine, which have a more happy look about them.
